6.00		Make a simple drawing of a house (large) with cellophane flames coming out of the windows and doors. JS take turns to try and put out the flames with water balloons.	Cellophane, tape, water balloons.

6.15	Activity	Discuss some of the things to do in a fire emergency. If your clothes catch on fire –STOP! Don’t run – It will make the fire worse! Drop to the floor and cover your face with your hands and roll over and over until you put the fire out.	Wet towels
6.25	Game	In relay JS put on a fire hat and run to the end of the hall. They use a water pistol to put out a candle. Discuss the ways we have made this game safe (parent supervising, water/sand on hand)	2 fire hats, several candles, matches, buckets of water and sand
6.30	Craft	Make a fireman hat using the template provided	Strips of card to fit child’s head, glue, stapler, colours, scissors
6.45	Story	Read the story of Smokey the Bear	Attached story
6.50	Activity	Read through the ‘Smokey’s Friends" colouring book and discuss.	Booklets, pencils
