Poem Frogs at School-

Thirty frogs went to school

Down beside a reedy pool

Such a sight to be seen

Thirty little coats of green

Mister Bullfrog looking stern

Taught,the classes in their turn

Taught them how to nobly strive

How to leap and how to dive

From his seat beside a reed

Taught them something else they'd need

How to swiftly dodge a blow

From the rubbish people throw.

Thirty frogs grew up fast

Bullfrogs they became at last

Spent the summer keeping cool

Swimming in their reedy pool.Story A Ponds Life

One day 1 was playing near a pond. There were lots of animals in and around the pond. 1 looked into the water and saw some tiny TADPOLES swimming about together.

When 1 looked at the reeds growing in the water 1 saw some WATER SNAILS

having lunch on them. 1 could hear some frogs croaking and saw them

hopping on some lily pads.

There was a family of little brown DUCKS swimming quietly by looking for

food. The little FISH hid under leaves when they saw the DUCKS swim, by.

They did not want to be lunch.

The DRAGONFLIES flittered over the water of the pond. They kept out of

the way of the FROGS who might eat then for lunch. Sometimes 1 thought

the TADPOLES were FISH but when 1 looked closely 1 could see the

difference.

The WATER SNAILS floated on top of the water sometimes instead of eating

the plants. They looked like they were having fun as they did the DRAGON

FLIES that buzzed in the sun.

It was so interesting seeing all the little creatures that lived in or around the

pond - the FISH and TADPOLES swimming, the DRAGONFLIES flying

over the water while the DUCKS and FROGS sat around the banks or

splashed in the water and looked for the WATER SNAILS.

As the sun sets all the little creatures settled down for the night and went to

sleep.
