Scouts Australia, a Registered Training Organisation, is offering two Certificate IV courses in NSW in 2005: Business (Frontline Management) and - for those who hold a Senior First Aid Certificate - Leadership. These nationally-accredited qualifications form part of Wood Badge training, at no extra cost.

Leaders who already hold a Wood Badge are now entitled to complete one or both of these certificates in a short-course "catch-up" format, in a special programme which the National Commissioner AT and D has authorised for a limited time only.

If you're interested, see December magazine for further information, and request the package by applying to Region Office using the L1 form. There is no charge. Upon receipt of your package, which contains 25 worksheets, you can start collecting evidence, which will then require review by a Assessor from the National Training Team.

The Branch Commissioner AT and D has authorised each Region to run workshops as required, to allow participants to obtain the necessary Assessor signatures. At the Region PLA and Assessor Forum on 22 November, the date for the first such Region Workshop was agreed-upon: Wednesday 16 February, 2005, at the Region Office, 7.30 pm.
